Here, palm trees and colourful German-inspired houses border the coast while massive dunes dominate the other side of town. Museums, libraries and the Mondesa township retrace the history of the town, while the dunes and the ocean guarantee adventure, with possibilities to go sandboarding, quadbiking, fishing, or hiking.

El Parque Nacional de Etosha es el mejor destino para ver fauna en Namibia. Se extiende alrededor de una inmensa salina, al norte del país. Cuatro de los Cinco Grandes recorren sus 22.270 kilómetros cuadrados, donde también habita la mayor población de rinocerontes negros de África. Otro de sus puntos fuertes son los abrevaderos iluminados, que permiten a los visitantes disfrutar de la fauna incluso de noche. El parque se divide en cuatro sectores diferentes, lo que hace que no haya dos visitas iguales. Tanto si lo visitas durante la temporada seca, para ver una gran cantidad de animales alrededor de los abrevaderos, como durante la temporada húmeda, para avistar a los flamencos que llegan a las salinas cubiertas de agua, Etosha es una visita indispensable en cualquier época del año.
